Woking Writers Circle has published PODIUM, a fifty-four page anthology of their latest work. Podium is on sale for £2.50 at Woking Visitors’ Centre, Woking Library and other outlets.

 Podium contains an exciting combination of traditional and contemporary poetry and prose. The poetry includes Haikus about Seasons, a ‘Beat’ poem, prize-winning performance poetry, free verse and sonnets, including one about a local beauty spot.  There are cautionary, humorous and thought-provoking poems.

 Two murder-mystery stories and an extract from a fantasy fiction novel based on time-travel contrast with romance and the supernatural, local history and love, criminal intent and kindness,  grand passions and minor irritations.

 The diversity of  Woking is celebrated by writers proud of its history, its shops and its football …!
